The executive director of the Stratford General Hospital Foundation has been designated a Fellow of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (FAHP), the highest level of achievement in the field of health care resource development.
Andrea Page is one of only 17 FAHPs in Canada, making the achievement particularly noteworthy. Attaining the Fellows designation is recognition of individual professional distinction, earned through dedication and continual advancement, and demonstrated commitment to ethical standards of professional practice.
“We congratulate Andrea on this most recent accomplishment. For us, it’s simply confirmation of what we’ve known all along – that our foundation is being captained by someone of extraordinary skills and knowledge who consistently demonstrates the honesty, integrity and commitment that’s so necessary in healthcare philanthropy,” says Debbie Reece, foundation board chair.
“Andrea has consistently brought home a variety of honours and awards that have put our Foundation on the leading edge. This most recent achievement is just the icing on the cake.”
Page received the Fellows designation after completing an individual certification plan chronicling the last eight years of experience and meeting requirements for continuing education hours/dollars raised/service to profession, passing a three hour long written examination and a one hour case study based oral exam.
“One of our guiding principles within the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is to support people by building skill and ability at all levels,” says alliance CEO Andrew Williams. “Andrea is a tremendous example of how those individual skills and accomplishments benefit both our organization and the communities we serve.”
