We all know that physicians are a key component to involving grateful patients as donors. However how do you successfully engage your physicians? In this session learn how one foundation transitioned from having little physician involvement in fundraising to a culture in which physicians now lead six and seven figure gifts. You will also hear from a fundraising consultant with extensive experience working directly with healthcare systems to establish and train physician advisory committees.
Learning objectives
1. Participants will hear examples of how several hospital Foundations have developed physician fundraising committees, cultivation events, and recognition for donors.
2. Participants will understand how physicians and foundation staff work together to develop prospects, make calls, and get commitments.
3. Participants will hear a strategy for how to solicit physicians including newly employed hospital physicians.
