The Association's highest honor, the Si Seymour Award, recognizes distinguished leadership in Association affairs. This award is in the name of Si Seymour, one of the trailblazers in the world of philanthropy, and in appreciation for having fostered and promoted exemplary standards of excellence for volunteerism and philanthropic support. The awardee is honored each year at the AHP International Conference. The award commemorates Si Seymour, who spent 50 years as a career fundraiser, serving many national charities, including YMCA, YWCA, Salvation Army, Girl Scouts of America, American Cancer Society, and the United Negro College Fund.

Holly H. Duncan, M.A., CFRE President & CEO, Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation
Holly H. Duncan is the president and CEO of the Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation, a $100 million institution providing philanthropic support for community-based not-for-profit Morton Plant Mease Health Care, Inc.
Previously, Ms. Duncan served as vice president for development at both the Florida Aquarium Ruth Eckerd Hall and the Performing Arts Center and Theater (PACT). She functioned as director of major gifts at Eckerd College, director of development at Lowry Park Zoo and as director of development for the Florida Orchestra in Tampa-St. Petersburg.
Additionally, Ms. Duncan has spoken at numerous conferences for AHP, the American Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums (AAZPA) and the American Symphony Orchestra League (ASOL).
During a development career spanning over three decades, Ms. Duncan has raised over $250 million for the not-for-profit organizations in the Tampa Bay area. She is currently in her 15th year as president & CEO of the Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation.

Peter W. Ghiorsi, MBA, FAHP Chairman & CEO Ghiorsi & Sorrenti, Inc. Peter W. Ghiorsi has devoted his entire career, a span of 41 years, to the field of philanthropy. A co-founder of Ghiorsi & Sorrenti, Inc., he has served as the firm`s CEO since 1989. Prior to founding GSI, Mr. Ghiorsi served for 15 years at St. Vincent`s Medical Center of New York, progressing from Assistant Director of Development to Senior Vice President for Development and External Affairs. He started his career as a Development Officer at Providence College, his alma mater.
After serving for several years on the AHP Board, he was elected Chair in 1988. He also served as Chair of the AHP Foundation. Mr. Ghiorsi holds a BA in Mathematics from Providence College and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. He is an AHP Fellow. Mr. Ghiorsi has six children and two grandchildren, and resides with his wife, Linda, and two high-school age sons in Wyckoff, New Jersey. An avid sportsman, his interests include scuba diving, boating, deep-sea fishing and cycling.
